Dual Diagnosis Conference – Nov 27, St. Andrew’s Centre

The final programme has yet to be finalised but details confirmed to date are:

  • The conference will run from 10.00 to 13.00 at the St. Andrew’s Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.
  • Councillor Dermot Lacey (Chairperson of the Task Force) will chair the Conference.
  • It is hoped that Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD, Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality and Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht with special responsibility for Equality, New Communities and Culture and Drugs Strategy will be the main speaker.
  • There will also be speakers from the Mental Health sector and speakers from the Voluntary sector.
  • Speakers from 10.15 to 11.30 will be followed by questions and answers and a number of workshops.
  • Service Users will coordinate and compere the event as part of an event mnagement programme for the South Inner City Service User Forum.

The Task Force will present the findings of the day in a report as input to the upcoming National Drug Strategy.
